Making it easy to recycle the hard stuff in Campbelltown

The Community Pantry and Recycling Hub is funded by our local recycling program. In partnership with TerraCycle, people can drop off a variety of items to be recycled. The pantry is available for those in need at any time.

What you can drop off to be recycled

Oral Care Items: any brand of used or empty toothpaste tubes and caps, manual toothbrushes, electric toothbrush heads, toothbrush and toothpaste tube plastic packaging, floss containers and interdental brushes. Electric toothbrushes, battery toothbrushes, and/or their parts are not accepted for recycling through the program.
Beauty items: All brands of empty skincare product packaging including, glass or plastic tubes, tubs, bottles, lids, droppers, jars and pumps as well as flexible plastic skin care packaging Packaging still containing product, skincare tools and makeup brushes, aerosols, make-up wipes and sheet masks, any hazardous or dangerous goods
Razors: all brands of used razor blades and their packaging through the program, including: Blades and razors (refillable and disposable products, and replaceable-blade cartridge units), rigid plastic packaging, flexible plastic packaging Any other type of loose blade or sharp. Outer cardboard packaging can be recycled with your local council, so please don’t include this in your shipment to TerraCycle
Writing instruments: All brands of used writing instruments. Glue sticks, erasers, rulers, pencils, crayons, sharp objects
Medicinal blister packs: All brands of used or empty medicinal blister packs Blister packs still containing tablets or capsules. Outer cardboard packaging can be recycled with your local council.
Bread tags: All types of plastic bread tags  Paper bread tags
  • Reuse any box you have to collect your rubbish
  • When your box is full please drop off your items at the Recycling Hub

You can compost with us too!

We are a ShareWaste host and you can organise a compost drop off via the ShareWaste map. ShareWaste connects people who wish to recycle their food scraps with their neighbours who are already composting, worm-farming or keep farm animals.

It’s composting without actually doing the composting!

Please note, to drop off your compost you must organise a time to do so via ShareWaste.

Community Pantry

Is free and available to access at anytime. The pantry was started during the pandemic as a small way to help those that needed it. Please take what you need. We also accept donations. If you would like to donate please place items in the pantry when suits. We accept in date pantry items, toiletries and baby care items. No fresh fruit, vegetables or bread please.

Where you can find us

We are located at Brechin Road St. Andrews NSW, 2566. No need to make a booking, it is located out the front for you to access at anytime. Please place your items in the labelled areas for recycling.

Terms and Conditions

  • Please note, we do not accept the outer cardboard or plastic packaging of items. Please recycle cardboard via your kerbside bin
  • Ensure beauty items are empty and rinsed where possible.
  • Plastic bread tags can also be found on a variety of other food packaging for example rice cake, potato and fruit packaging. They must be plastic.
  • Organic food drop offs must be arranged via the ShareWaste platform, find us on the ShareWaste map here
  • To participate in the Community Pantry and Recycling Hub you must reside in the Macarthur local government area.
